+ hello kitty pyjamas
we slept with the window open despite the temperature being about 2 degrees. i sleep much better with it open. chris keeps talking about the concept of "lüften" and saying we ought to do it and i am inclined to agree.
logan was going to go for a walk with chris this morning but he's knackered. 16 years old and just started a new job and its really taking its toll on him even at two days a week! i went instead and we walked moose on a long beach path loop, and then back via co-op where i spent some more money on picky bits, and eggs so i could do some baking. i intended to make another batch of zimsterne but i haven't got around to it yet. i have dechristmassed the dining room though, and done some cross stitching. still need to take the tree down, but it looks very bare now the tinsel is gone.
laura came back around 4pm and we did the initial round of presents, she was very happy with them, especially the puppet dragon stencils. pulled together a picky dinner with lots of freezer bits and the aforementioned stuff i got from shop plus a baked camembert with truffle and honey, then presented her with her new chromebook. she's upstairs on call now with her two best friends and its really nice hearing them all giggling away. i can't believe she's only back for one night before she is gone again! she came back with £60 in cash as christmas money, and asked if i could put it in her monzo so i transferred it across and added the £60 to my emergency pig.
there is still far too much cheese in the fridge and the washing up is mounting.
