there's a new BBC adaptation coming of lord of the flies, and its from the same man who directed adolescence, so it should be very good. chris hasn't read lord of the flies, so i wonder if i can get him to watch it with me.

still no log ins at work and i got a scary email from UKSV so i don't even know if i have passed security clearances. funny that the three of us with dual heritage don't have access. still waiting to hear if i have progressed on the senior role application, i had an internal form to fill out today for it so fingers crossed. my own audacity scares me sometimes, i put down that i expected to start on 33k a year instead of the 32k that the ladder begins on haha.

i had to leave the house when i finished work as i needed to clear my head. ended up not being a no spend day as i went to the corner shop to pick up a vinted purchase, and whilst i was there i bought two of the biggest naan breads i have ever seen in my life. they were delicious.

i have started reading the secret circle series by lj smith. it was written in the early 90s so i have no idea how well it has held up, but she writes well, even if it is a bit slow going.  ended up not reading much at all this evening, and instead lay on the sofa and watched in the following order: the elizabeth smart documentary, quiz (brilliant, matthew mcfayden was ace and i love aisling bea), and the new lucy letby documentary. i fell asleep during lucy letby, so i will have to go back tomorrow and watch the hour or so that i missed.
