ffoxnot much of a mothers day honestly. laura made me a card which was cute, she wrote thank you for always being there for me. and gave me the flowers i bought myself the other day - however they have not survived in her room too well so i had to do some pretty drastic pruning to ensure it survived past the next two days.
i had carrot cake for breakfast. followed by bacon. all about the chaotic eating today. trying to get rid of all my snacks. still loads of ice cream in the freezer but i think that will be saved for shark week. did my overtime hours and finished listening to katabasis (3.5/5 honestly, just... alright and a bit of a look how clever i the author am which grates after a while). cleaned kitchen, put away the food shop, did a little bit of sewing, made dinner, cleaned the kitchen AGAIN, did some laundry... its been a bit of a blah day but at least we are all set up for the week. i need to get up to date on my financial tracker, and i need to finish the backstitch on my fox sewing eyes and then that is done and i can pick something that doesn't require backstitch or in depth counting for my next project so i can get a quick win as this one has taken me nearly two months and i know for a fact i have a mini perfume bottle to stitch and a moon to go with the sun in the kitchen.
chris is catching up on killing the remaining hordes in days gone and i am watching swoop docs. i need to pick something else to read / listen to. might go back to breaking my heart reading realm of the elderlings.
